2008 Parker Motter Hall of Fame Championship

On behalf of the Motter family (Tom, Mike, Barry, etc…) & the Board of Directors of the FWGA, we welcome you to Coyote Creek GC for the inaugural Parker Motter Hall of Fame Championship.  The FWGA Hall of Fame was established in 1995 to recognize those that had a significant impact either through their outstanding play or their contributions to further enhance the great tradition of our local golfing community. Since 1995 we have honored many such individuals. But if we were to pick one of these individuals that stood out above the rest, Parker Motter certainly fits the bill.

This 4 – time Champion (1937, 1950, 1951, & 1955) epitomizes what it means to be a champion.  His passion for this game went far beyond his competitive playing days.  As you all know, prior to his passing in 2007, the Parker Motter Scholarship fund was established to further young golfer’s hopes and dreams through the game of golf.  In addition, Parker’s interest in helping others went far beyond golf.  His church, local public television, the League for the Blind, the American Cancer Society, & the American Heart Association are just a few examples of those touched by his kindness.

Again, on behalf of the Motter family, enjoy this day and good luck to all!

Sincerely,

The Board of Directors of the FWGA
